Our first contact!!!!

We got a suprise on Monday - we got a call from a pregnant birth mother!! Last Thursday we had been waiting one month exactly. This is VERY quick to get contacted! The birthmother, Amber, called our house while we were at work. Our babysitter called me and I immediately called Amber back. We were both very nervous, but our conversation was great! Amber is 25, from Georgia and already has 6 kids (9,7,4,3,1 1/2, and 4 months). She believes she is 3 months along, but hasn't been to the doctor yet because she's been trying to decide what to do. She is going through a divorce, but is also engaged - the fiance is the father of this baby. They live in a trailer and cannot afford any more children. She is obviously very upset by this, but believes it is best for her baby. She also was relieved to be talking to me and hear how excited I was about becoming a mother again. She also was excited about the open adoption process - so she would always know her baby is doing well. She told me that she has been looking through adoption profiles and kept coming back to ours. They way we left the converstation was that her next step would be to contact our agency. At the time, she said she would call on Tuesday, but she still has not called them. It could be because she changed her mind, or her fiance isn't on board, or just because she hasn't had time with 6 kids. I'm going to wait until next week and then call again if we haven't heard anything. My mind is going crazy because I'm second guessing everything - wondering if this could be real or is it someone playing tricks on us again. It's terrible that some of our experiences from last time have tainted us, but they have. We definitely are a little more guarded, but we also can't help being excited. We'll see what happens!
