Kylie's New Tricks

Well, I returned to work on November 27th. It was rough at first, but things are going quite well now! Cal's work scheduled changed so he is at home with Kylie 2 days one week and 3 days the next. How lucky Kylie is to spend that much time with her daddy! (And, of course, I'm jealous that Cal gets to see her that much). Grandma Nene gets her every other Friday and our neighbor, Georgia, comes over to our house 2 days a week. Georgia is fantastic with her and we are very luck to have her! It takes a lot of stress of me to not worry about loading everything up and taking Kylie somewhere every morning.

Kylie is smiling like crazy now! She giggles and coos too! I hurry home from work every day to play with her. She just stares and talks to me. We read books every day and do tummy time. She is really strong and does very well holding her head up. She's even turned herself over from her tummy to her back. Daddy works a lot with her on tummy time and rolling over.

Lately she has spent a lot of time discovering her hands (as you can see in the picture). She'll just stare at them like she's trying to figure out what they are for. She has figured out that her hands are good for eating ;-) She puts them in her mouth a lot and comforts herself with them. She's also into grabbing onto clothes - both mine and hers. Pretty soon she'll be grabbing for her toys.

Probably Kylie's biggest accomplishment over the last few weeks is that she is sleeping all night!! (Just in time for me going back to work). We do her last feedin about 7:30 and she is asleep by 8. She doesn't wake up until 5 or 6 in the morning! This is so great because it allows me to get up and get ready for work in the morning and I have some time left over to get her up and play with her a bit before I head to work.

I can't believe she is 3 months old already! And she is changing so much. She was in Newborn clothing for the first 9 weeks. Then we switched to zero to 3 month clothes and now she's already starting to grow out of those!!! It's amazing how babies change and develop their own personalities. Kylie is such a sweet little girl!
