Doctor Visit

Yesterday I was able to go to the hospital with Lori and go to what was supposed to be her amnio appointment. It was a fiasco at the hospital!!! L called the night before to confirm that she was having an amnio and the hospital told her yes and told her where to go. Well, we went there and then they said they don't do amnio's at that part of the hospital. So the girl looked L up in the system and said the amnio is scheduled on the other side of the hospital (this hospital is HUGE!) So it took us over 20 min to get to the other side and then they tell us she doesn't have an amnio scheduled - that she just has a regular appointment. We were kind of relieved because her due date isn't until Sept 28th and we thought it was early to do an amnio. Anyway, I got to go to her appointment with her and talk to the doctor and hear the babies heartbeat. The doctor did officially schedule the amnio for August 25th (only 2 weeks away!). If the lungs are developed, they will take baby that day - otherwise we will schedule a c-section for a week or 2 after that. So in 2 - 4 weeks we will be parents!!! I am very lucky to participate with L's appointments and we really had a good day yesterday visiting. She continually says that she knows in her heart that Cal and I are Kylie's parents.
